Beginning primary school is a significant milestone for all children (and their parents!). We work closely with Willaura and District Kindergarten to ensure our pre-schoolers are supported through their transition into primary school. Kindergarten students have informal visits to our school over the year. The formal transition visits occur over Term 4, with three half days, culminating in a full school day in December. Parents are given numerous opportunities to visit our school, including a Coffee and Cake Information Session and individual meetings between the Prep teacher and new parents. We value the unique experiences, interests and skills our Prep students bring to school. Our transition program ensures new Preps and their parents feel confident and comfortable in the school environment. Our Prep Handout gives a snap-shot of the approach we take to the first year of a child's schooling.

hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones. Students residing in this zone are
guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your
permanent residential address.
The Department provides guidance through the
Placement
Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated
neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to
facility limitations.
